This volume consists of two parts: Part 1, ‘Persia: Payment for maintenance of the Cossack Division’ (IOR/L/PS/10/780/1), and Part 2, ‘Persia: Expenditure payments for maintenance of Cossack Division’ (IOR/L/PS/10/780/2). Both parts concern the Cossack Division [Persian Cossack Brigade] in Persia [Iran] and the payments made by the British Government for the maintenance of the Division.

Each part includes a divider which gives the subject and part numbers, the year the subject file was opened, the subject heading, and a list of correspondence references contained in that part by year. This is placed at the back of the correspondence.
