the Agreement was ratified. This was considered to be
the cheapest way of extricating the British forces from
JMorth Persia. It was further indicated'that there was
some prospect of providing the cost of the horth Persian
force by a reduction in the South Persia Rifles.
The Cabinet agreed -

That, in reply to Mr. James Brown’s
Question, it was sufficient to state the
cost of the British subsidy paid to the
South Persia Rifles since the conclusion
of the War, adding that the Indian
Government had made a similar
contribution.
