Cossack Division^
He said that on principle he was and had always
been in favour of immediate dismissal of Russian officer
but that in present critical situation he shared view
of the Shah regarding course to be pursued. I failed
to move him from this opinion, though I shook him. He
said the Shah hoped that His Majesty* s Government would
continue their subsidy to division for three months
more,
