CHAPTER III: PARS.
Papres 16-24 . Foreign residents are still apt to be
treated with suspicion by local officials but no incidents r;||
have occurred during the year in which foreign subjects
were involved. Dealings between the Consulate and the
Governorate-Genera 1 have been confined throughout the
year to routine matters and have been friendly.
The 7th (Ears) Division has been increased to a
total strength of over 10,000 men and more barracks have
been under construction during the year.
