Enclosures no. 2-4 to a despatch from the Secret Department, Bombay [Mumbai] Castle, dated 24 February 1848. The enclosures are dated 21 January-8 February 1848. The enclosures consist of copies of correspondence relating to a decision by the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. to allow a merchant named Hajee Aga Baba [also written as Hajee Agha Baba] to be considered a British subject. The correspondents are the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. and the Government of India.
