caused to pilgrims and all the holy lands would in no
way be subject to the attacks of the British armies
either by land or by sea. Shgrif Kusain was misled by
her words and thought that she was that Government which
cared to do good and admired the Islam but she has now
damaged the harbour of Jedda and hindered the pilgrims.
All what she had said is now just as an ink on a paper.
This is one of the samples of her knave act. When her
intentions were frustrated she changed her statement. During
this week the enemy twice raided a Police Station known by
the name of Bir Gaber which is near Imad and a dependency of
Shaikh Othman. In that place there were 150 Turks and
'Somalies. The enemy had come out with his armies, armaments
and heavy guns with the object of seizing the fierce lions
but after a fight of 2 hours the armies flew like a herd of
sheep and goats driven by some goat herds. He had to leave
some of his V/ar materials as a cold booty and go back in a
sta.te of frustration, disappointment and bootlessness.
V f e are winning the laurels since we joined in the
war and by the will of Goa we shall continue to ™in to the
end. The Suez Canal is shortly falling. God willing in the
Bakri Id festival we shall have two festivals.
(Signed) Ali Said
Brigadier General,
Commanding the Othman Force of Lahej.
