1 have the honour to submit herewith separately a brief
resume of the political situation in ^ uscot os it stands at
present, and my deductions therefrom.
The latter have been formed from my own observation of
"signs of the times”, from private conversations with various
members of the Ruling family and others, and from a series
of incidents which, although jftgr seemingly insignificant,
appear to indicate the direction in which the wind is now
blowing.
3. The situation is one that will require careful watching
in the future and I am of the opinion that before long it
will be essential to issue His Highness the Sultan with a
very definite warning os to his general attitude.
