The letter requests that the Tartar , which cannot yet sail to Bombay because of the monsoon, be sent to Basra in order to take Robert Garden to Bombay and a consignment of tin to Bushire, if they are able to sell it.
The letter is dated 25 May 1766, but given the context and the information contained within it is almost certainly a mistake and should read 25 May 1765.
