The letter informs that Robert Garden is sailing to India with Captain Grady and there is no need to send the Tartar to Basra, but it should instead be dispatched to Bombay as soon as possible.
A postscript reports that Coja Sarkees [Sarkis], the kalantar (representative) of the Armenians in Persia and an agent of the Caun [Karim Khan] had arrived from an envoy to the Dutch on Carrack [Kharg Island] and is sailing to Bushire. It is requested that the vessel be immediately returned to Basra loaded with barley.
