*The letter is dated 15 January 1764, but it is almost certain that this is a mistake and should be 1765.
The letter gives the news that a merchant caravan is coming down from Schyrash [Shiraz] and that a large force led by Karim Khan's general, Omar Gunee Caun [?], is on its way to Bunderick [Bandar Rig] to face Meer Mahanna [Mīr Muhanna].
