The letter discusses the situation with Meer Mahanna [Mīr Muhanna], with updates on the movements of Karim Khan's forces. The author expresses concerns that if the English do not assist the Khan, the Dutch will do so and reep the political and commercial benefits.

The trade of woollens is discussed, stressing a need for more variety from Bombay, and expressing worry over how low prices at Muscat is harming trade at Bushire.

The return of the Company mules that had been stolen by Mīr Muhanna's men is mentioned, along with the Bushire linguist's return to Ispahaun [Isfahan].
