The letter concerns the property belonging to the late Aga Mahomed Bhubarny at Bushire, which is reported as being limited to two houses. It is noted that Mahomed Neuby Kaun [Muḥammad Nabī Khān] has been directed by Muḥammad Ja‘afar Khān, the Governor of Bushire, to seize the property in question. As for the ship sold at Bussora [Basra], it is explained that it is the Lieutenant's understanding that the Bussora Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. has supplied the Bombay Government with all the required information.
