This letter gives instructions on the relief of guards at the factory An East India Company trading post. at Bushire. It includes the following enclosures: an extract (no. 33, dated 10 September 1783) from commands issued by the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. to the Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. of Bombay, setting out new company regulations relating to the return to England of Company officials; a proclamation (no. 34, dated 26 September 1783) by the King of a peace treaty between Great Britain and Spain, concluded 3 September 1783 and ratified 19 September 1783.
