This letter has no stated recipient, but it would appear to be addressed to John Beaumont, Resident at Bushire. In the letter William Digges Latouche and George Abraham enclose an original and duplicate packet (not included) for the Governor General and Council at Calcutta. A request is made for these packets to be dispatched either on the Betsy or on the Bombay. If these ships are not available, the Resident is instructed to send the packets to Narrandas, the English Broker Often a local commercial agent in the Gulf who regularly performed duties of intelligence gathering and political representation. at Muscat, with directions for them to be forwarded at the first opportunity.
