The Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , No. Ill, dated the 25th September 1868.
With reference to his letter No. 85 of 1868, reports his further proceedings in connec
tion with the affairs of Bahrein, Guttur and Aboothabee.
Resolution .—Colonel Felly's proceedings should be fully approved, and the
thanks of Government should be conveyed both to him and to Captain Brown
for the way in which they have vindicated the position of the British Govern
ment in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. ,
