With reference to the correspondence ending with my
despatch Mo.27 dated the 11th July 1986, I have the
honour to forward,for your approval,two draft King's
Regulations under Article 70 (c) of the Bahrain Order
in Council, 1915, repealing the Indian Pilgrim Ships
Regulation, 1926 and applying the Indian Merchant Shipp
ing Act, 1985, respectively within the limits of the said
Order.
2. The repeal of the former Regulation and its
re-enactment in a slightly altered form, is due to the
fact that, the Government of India have pointed out that
it fails in its object, as it did not specifically apply
the Indian Merchant Shipping Act, but only provided for
its modification and amendment, and directed me to can
cel the Regulation and replace it by a Regulation apply
ing and also modifying the Act #
