In this letter William Digges Latouche informs Edward Galley that Major Thomas Geils, who is in possession of dispatches of the greatest importance, is proceeding to Bushire, where he hopes to board the Viper , or some other Company Cruiser, for his passage to India. Latouche gives instructions, both for the forwarding of packets to India, and for the sending of goods to Bussora [Basra].
