This letter reports on the movements of the Morning Star . In a postscript, William Digges Latouche relays news from Alexandria that a French Lieutenant Colonel, an Indian and three Indian servants arrived there from Marseilles and departed on 9 July for Acre, on their way to India, via the Gulf. Latouche requests that instructions be issued to the commander of any of the cruisers to keep an eye out for these men.
