In this letter William Digges Latouche reports on the movements of a suspected French messenger, who has hired the boat of Ally Abdulla [Ali Abdullah] to take him to Bunderick [Bandar-e Rīg]. Latouche discusses a plan (made with the agreement of Ally Abdulla) to use the Mercury to intercept the boat and take the Frenchman to Bombay.
