This letter has no stated recipient, but it would appear to be addressed to John Beaumont, Resident at Bushire. In the letter William Digges Latouche and George Abraham state that they have been informed that Soliman Aga [Süleyman Agha] the Mussaleem During the eighteenth century this was the third most powerful official in Ottoman Iraq (after the Pasha and the Kiya). The title was given specifically to the Governor of Basra. has left Schiraz [Shiraz], on his way to Bussora [Basra], by way of Bushire. Beaumont is informed that the Success has been dispatched for Soliman Aga's passage from Bushire.
