The dispositions of North Persian Force Troops is as follows
From Kasvin to Enzeliy with Battalion at Krasnovodsh ,—One British
Brigade.
On line Zinjan-Bijar-Senna with Brigade Headquarters and 2 Battalions
at Eamadan .—One Indian Brigade with attached troops.
So long as North Persian Force occupy Hamadan Area it should not he
taken oyer by Persian Communications, which should maintain only an
Advanced Base with his present staff there. The same rule should also apply
to Kasvin should Persian Communications he ordered to extend to that town.
With Persian Communications ending at Hamadan, another D. S. A. A. G. will
be required by North Persian Force, if present garrison is to remain ; for this, I
will apply later. But following extra will be required if Persian L. of C.
extends to Kasvin :—

Therefore I consider that under present circumstances Persian Communi
cations should end at Hamadan. His sphere of action can be increased later
on, if situation alters.
With reference to paragraph 2 of your 80204, I do not wish I. G. C.’s
duties to extend beyond railhead, The initial difficulties in connection with
the organisation of local land transport have now been surmounted, and per
mission not to alter existing arrangements is requested. On assumption that
above proposals are agreed to, the defence of this L. of C. from .Railhead to
Senna has been taken over by a separate commander.
