Admiralty have sent following telegram to Admiral Calthorpe. Begins
(1) Repetition of your X.-3590 (Dy. No. 89189) and X.-3606 (Dv ’ No*
88709). w * ‘
(2) Please instruct the Turkish Government to issue orders to Ali Ihson for
his evacuation of Mosul under clause 7. Though under clause 16 he should
without doubt surrender his garrison, on condition that he hands over his arms
under clause 20 and removes Ids force to such place as General Marshall
directs. . We are prepared to waive this point. With regard to clause 5 it is
not considered that the presence of any Turkish troops is necessary for the
maintenance of internal order in the Mosul Vilayet or where not required by
General Marshall. It should he pointed out by you to the Turkish Govern
ment that Mosm will be seized by our arms in the event of non-compliance
within such period as may be specified by General Marshall.

1. To Salonika.

(d) The second batch of 12 Indian Battalions.
(e) 2 Signal Companies.
2. To Mesopotamia.
The 12 Indian Battalions in. replacement of 12 sent to Salonika. Further
the dilution scheme is to be continued in Mesopotamia and Egypt.
It is understood that Bullock Corps for North Persia has already arrived.
No reinforcements are to be sent to Mesopotamia or Egypt.

forces ( ? of North Caucasus Republic) opposing Bicharakoff are 1 Artillery
Regiment, 1 Infantry Division, 2 Cavalry Regiments. Bnds.
