A general letter from the Mocha Factory An East India Company trading post. to the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. of the East India Company, signed by Robert Cowan, Chief, and Francis Dickinson, Factor, dated 27 March 1726.
The letter reports on matters including news of ships which had been dispatched. The authors also complain that they were still experiencing grievances regarding the restrictions on trade imposed upon them by the Government at Mocha, who were in debt to the Mocha Factory An East India Company trading post. , and that consequently, for these and other reasons, they had been directed by the President and Council of Bombay to endeavour to recover the outstanding debts owed to the Mocha Factory An East India Company trading post. , to sell off the remaining effects of the Factory An East India Company trading post. , and to withdraw from the settlement.
Received via the ships Grand Cairo and Marseilles , 18 January 1726/7 [Old Style date 1726, New Style date 1727].
