General letter from Mocha to the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. , dated 16 July 1722. It is signed by Henry Albert, Thomas Rammell, John Style and J Dein, and was received via the ship Caesar on 1 March 1722 [New Style date 1 March 1723].
The letter reports on matters including: the arrival of ships at Mocha and departure of ships from Mocha; goods sent from Mocha, and goods sent from Bombay to Mocha; the purchase of coffee and other goods in Mocha for sale in Europe; relations with the Imaum [Imam] and the Governor of Mocha; and factors, writers, officers and soldiers of the Mocha Factory An East India Company trading post. , and accounts of the Factory An East India Company trading post. .
