Copies of general letters from the Mocha Factory An East India Company trading post. to the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. of the East India Company, dated 15 January 1724/5 [Old Style date 1724, New Style date 1725] and 3 April 1725.
The letter of 15 January discusses matters including ships which had arrived at Mocha and departed from Mocha, the sale of goods at Mocha, and the high price of coffee.
The letter of 3 April concerns matters including: ships which had arrived at Mocha, and the goods they carried; the attempts of the Mocha factors to recover outstanding debts from Arab merchants at Mocha, and the reaction of the Mocha authorities to this.
It was received via the ship Greenwich , 24 May 1726.
