| Married officers will receive sums in lieu of free
passage and free return passage for their wives under the same
circumstances as they themselves receive them.
They will receive extra transport in Persia for their
wives on the same scale as for themselves.
N 0 guarantee can be given that married officers will be
able to take their wives to all stations to which they may be
posted.
VIII.
Officers will receive pay from the Persian Government from
the time they vacate their last appointment until they are again
taken on the strength of their British or Indian Amy Units. In
the case of non Regular officers the Persian Government will be
responsible for their pay from the date of their leaving Port of
Embarkation at beginning of period of service until'its completion

Periods of service will date from:-
(a) Regular officers:- Date of relinquishment last appointment.
(b) Non Regular Officers:- Date of embarkation for Persia.
Officers will receive half pay of their Grade in Persian
Army during voyage out on beginning of first period of service
until arrival in Persia.

Leave will date from day of arrival at Port of Destination

inclusive to day of departure from port of destination exclusive.
Maximum periods allowed for journeys will be laid down by Persian
'' War Office from time to time.
Any period spent on journeys over such maximum allowance

day or portion of a day which exceeds the allowance laid down
unless the delay occurs through circumstances obviously beyond
