This file contains strength returns from units of the British Army, the British Indian Army, and the Royal Air Force in India, including forces deployed in Persia [Iran], the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. ports, and Aden as of 1 December 1923. The strength returns were issued by the Adjutant-General in India. They detail the number of personnel currently serving with military branches and individual units, grouped under the following categories:

- ‘Indian Army Reserve’
