The map sheet is one of four maps, numbered 1 to 4, included in IOR/L/PS/20/C204. In the body of the report it is entitled ‘International 1:1,000,000 Basra Sheet’.

It shows southern Iraq, Kuwait, the northern border of modern-day Saudi Arabia, and the western border of Persia [Iran].

The map portrays: the waterways and marshlands of the area; wadis, sand dunes, and other features in relief shown by hachures Lines drawn on a map to indicate the direction and steepness of slope. ; notable settlements; roads and tracks; and the route of the Baghdad-Basra railway.
