Correspondence 493. It is notified that the registered telegraphic address of the Advanced Base
Commandant is Adv. Base ” and all telegrams intended for his office should be so
addressed.
Orders 494. List No. 30 of Appointments, Promotions, etc., has been issued to those
concerned.
Pay & Allowances 495. It is notified that the War Office have decided that British Service Officers in
receipt of Indian rates of pay who hold acting regimental rank at time of being invalided
must, from July 11th, revert to the pay of their substantive rank from date of being
struck off duty.

Stationery 496. Indents for stationery are to be made on the prescribed form (Army Form
G. 994) when available, otherwise in manuscript. Indents by telegraph are not to be
made, except in cases of great urgency. In the latter circumstances the full telegra hie
address of the applicant must be used to ensure correct delivery.
