Para. 15 - On a soldier giving up his pay book, either after conclusion of a term

out and handed to him for disposal as he may think fit. The book will then be
orwarded for retention with the soldier s accounts. A fresh book will be prepared by
the officer concerned when the old one is handed in.
CASUALTIES
REPORTING OF
1620. It is notified for information that where an Officer or soldier has received
wounds and has not brought the fact to notice, he cannot claim at a subsequent date
to have his wound officially recognised, unless there are attendant circumstances which
indicate that the individual was not in a position to report his casualty.
2. The Official Casualty List which is published in the Press is to be regarded as
the record which entitles an Officer or man to wear the gold braid in proof of wounds,
as authorised by A.O. 249 of 1916

DISPOSAL OF KITS
1621. Force Routine Order No. 1358, dated 27th August, 1916, is amended as
follows :—
For paragraph 3 substitute :—“ A Standing Committee will be appointed for each
British and Indian Depot. In the case of British Depots, the Standing Committee
will consist of three officers. In the case of Indian Depots, two British officers and one
Mohamedan and one Hindu Indian officer.”
Paras. 4 and 5 For the words “Supply and Transport Corps” substitute
“Ordnance Department (Clothing).”
EXPENDITURE
1899 The Chief Political Officer is authorised to pay the sum of Rs. 300 per
mensem'with effect from the 1st August, 1916, to Shaikh Juwi al Jazim in respect of
salaries of mounted guards supplied by him.

1623 The temporary promotion referred to in Force Routine Order No 1327,
