InlO. Force Standing Orders are amended as follows
Under “Arms and Ammunition,”V/tM to paragraph 6, after “India” -
nvP,t H tl?n T d am “ Unit ;° t n 1 of men admitted to hospitals in Amarah, will be handed
over to the Ordnance Depot there, and when recovered men are evacuated from those
hospitals rides of the same description as those with which their units are armed will
be drawn from the Ordnance Depot for them, but no rifles will be drawn for men
evacuated overseas or Basrah.
CASUALTIES
1511. The body of a man (European) was recovered from the river at
near Basrah, on the 29th July, 1916. Description as follows:—

The medical authorities state that the body had been in the river^B to 5 days.
Any information that will lead to the identification of this man should be for

are published as an annexure to this order.

1513. The troops should be warned:—
(«). That if captured by the enemy they are bound to give their true names and
rank (tmt corps or appointment) if interrogated, but that they are not bouna to give
any other information. They are therefore bound in loyalty to refuse to reply to any
other questions.
(5). That no officer or man who may be captured by the enemy is authorised to
accept release on parole.
