1272. (i) Intimation has been received from Army Headquarters, India, that
the grant of the temporary rank of Brigadier-General to Lieut.-Colonel T. A. Andrus,
C.M.G., North Staffordshire Regiment, commanding 39 th Infantry Brigade, was
notified in the London Gazette of the 4th August, 1916.
(C G.S. telegram No. 71117, dated 10th August, 1916J.
(h) The following appointment is confirmed-:—
Captain W. II. Lang, 16th Cavalry, as G S.O. Ill, Vllth Division; with effect
from 1 st July, 1916, forenoon.
(Hi) The following officiating appointments are made

Staff', I E.F. “D,” vice Major-General A. W. Money, C.B., placed on sick list; with
