The map shows a geological representation of the area southeast of Hit. The legend of the map shows the vertical sections of the map. As well as geology the map portrays hydrology and place names. The map was created to complement a geological report on Mesopotamia. The bottom of the map includes the following statements: ‘Reg No. 2268. E 18’ and ‘HELIOZINCOGRAPHED AT THE SURVEY OF INDIA OFFICES, CALCUTTA [Kolkata]’.
