The map shows a geological representation of the area of Qarah Tappah. There is a handwritten key showing geological sections in different colours, plus annotations in black ink. These are dated 15 April 1919 and signed by E J Pascoe. The sheet includes the following printed statement: ‘Map Compilation Section G.H.Q.’ The map was created to complement the geological report on Mesopotamia.
