that twenty nurses are required to complete establishment and asked that one

hundred and thirty two British nurses who completed two hot weathers Meso
potamia may be replaced during winter month ends. Present situation nursing
service in India will not admit qf any reliefs being sent to Mesopotamia and it
is desirable that arrangements necessary to meet requirements demanded he
carried out direct by War Office. Need of more nurses in India at once is
imperative and strongly advise you render any assistance possible to India
Office towards obtaining them.

Supreme Council Paris has appointed Col. W. N. Haskell, United States
Army, to act as High Commissioner in Armenia on behalf of United
States, British, French and Italian Governments. Haskell will also take full
charge of all relief measures, by various relief organisations operating in
Armenia. °
