SITUATION IN MESOPOTAMIA.
Persia and Turkestan.
10th February 1919.
1. Tigris Front.
In view of the unsatisfactory attitude adopted by the Turks remaining
at Jezirat-Ibn Omar, 100 miles N.-W,
of Mosul. General Officer Commanding
” considers it essential that they should be made to evacute that town.
Owing to the distance from Railhead, General Officer Commanding “D” is
unable to maintain troops at Jezirat-Ibn-Omar and he suggests that General
Allenby might be able to assist by sending troops from Nisibin which is only
60 miles away.
2 & 3. Diala and Euphrates Fronts.
There is no change.
4. Intelligence.
(a) Turkish Empire.
