<c D class sailings only were referred to in the programme given in my
8171 (Q. M. G. 13) and the telegram was in reply to your inquiry regarding
the diversion of vessels to Bombay for the conveyance of Inland Water Trans
port and Railway Labourers. The liner sailngs from India given in Secretary,
War Office, 74820,-Cipher S. K. 1, 2nd February (Diary No. 9123) are not
accurate.
The programme for despatch of British troops from Mesopotamia and India
during February is as follows :—

Your 7801 (Q. M. G. 10), January 30th, and your 8171 (Q. M. G. 13),
January 31st.
For some time, all horses destined for India will be category “A”. As the
pace of demobilisation will soon exceed my holding capacity in remount depots
suggest it is most necessary to provide ships to relieve us of a few thousand
remounts within next six weeks. This matter is immediate.
