The Deputy Adjutant General, 3rd Echelon, Eorce “ D,” was informed as to position in regard to supply
of Engineer Officers for Railways and personnel for all Directorates and was requested to say which
were the most urgent categories required so as to be able to make best use of available shipping.
The General Officer Commanding, Eorce “D,” was informed that approval had been given to certain staff
appointments for the Infantry Brigade located in the Hillah-Hindiyeh area.
Colonel Rowlandson reported that General Baratoff had requested that Bridge s column should occupy
Kermanshab by 28th February and bis recommendation that if the formation of volunteer torce
proved a failure, the formation of a purely mounted cossack force under Bicharakov be undertaken.
