Content

A short anonymous treatise (مختصر) in Persian on the construction and operation of the astrolabe Ancient instrument for astronomical observations. , in twenty sections ( bāb s). The copy is extensively provided with diagrams and tables illustrating the instrument's stages of manufacture.

The text was copied in the middle of Jumādá I 1056 (end of June 1646) and collated 23 of the same month (7 July 1646).

Several folios, some blank, some bearing calligraphic exercises and unfinished diagrams, and pages of astronomical tables and text (ff. 12r-13r) are bound into the volume following the treatise on the astrolabe Ancient instrument for astronomical observations. (ff. 10r-13v).
