right bank of the Shatt-al-Adhaim, about / miles north of its junction with the Tigris. The enemy
was driven from his position and fell back on the 2nd Division, some 10 miles further north, 4 officers
and 127 unwounded prisoners, besides many wounded, being taken. He also reported the full result
of his captures on 21st-22nd April.
