Kindly send by telegraph orders as to the disposal of the Volunteer
lottery and Anglo-Indian Battery. Former has been reorganised as
18-pdr. Field Battery and is ready to join 17th Division, but in view
of present conditions it is not required there. Latter battery is with
17th Division. If you wish these batteries sent back to India, I can
spare them both.

There are at present on leave in London Lieutenant-Colonel W.
Dent and Major J. C. More, both of your intelligence staff. The
services of these officers would he most valuable to me during forth
coming peace conference for representation of your views regarding
Mesopotamian problems about which decision will have to he arrived
at. I wish to retain them as long as necessary for consultation purposes
if you can spare them. Propose that after expiration of present leave they
would be considered as a deputation under your orders.
