Would explain that in accordance with your No. 70777-Cipher of 14th
November 1918 (Dy. No. 92214) numbers 14 and 15 British Mountain
Batteries were converted to Indian, so that there are no British Mountain
Batteries in Mesopotamia. Under the heading of “ Mesopotamia ” therefore,
should he shown 6 Indian Mountain Batteries, giving a gross total of not 5
but 7 Indian Mountain Batteries.
