furnished by the different
Collectors from which the sta
tistics in Part III, already allu
ded to, have been compiled;
whereas the figures given
last vpqt. ^ above are, as was the case
last year, taken from the boobs of the Accountant General.
He increase, according to the Collectors’ figures, is Rs. 1,57,383,

Annual administration report of the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. , providing a summary record of the main events and developments in each department of the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. during the financial year 1879-80. The report was printed at the Government Central Press, Bombay [Mumbai] in 1880.

The report is divided into three parts. Part I comprises a report ‘SUMMARY’ (ff 9-55). Part II (ff 56-265) comprises chapters I-IX. Part III comprises ‘Statistical Returns’ pertaining to chapters I-VII and IX (ff 266-429).

Part II comprises the following:
