Summary of events.
The General Officer Commanding, Force <c D,” enquired, the-approximate estimate of supply of Asiatic
personnel lor Ford Vans as vans were expected shortly from England.
'ihe shipping tonnage discharged on 17th December was intimated by the Inspector General of Commu
nications, Force “ D.”
The General Officer Commanding, Force “D,” intimated the order of urgency in which new units and
reinforcements were required.
The General Officer Commanding, Force “D,” reported quiet on all fronts on December 19th
The General Officer Commanding, Force ‘\D,” reported that Colonel Bicharakov assumed personal
responsibility for official renunciation of peace proposals and armistice of present governing forces
in Russia but desired to point out that it was the unanimous decision of men of his detachment.
The General Officer Commanding, Force “ D,” stated that whenever possible future issue of veo’etables
or dates would lie increased when fresh fruit was not available with the object of reducino*
consumption ol tinned fruits ; also that when fresh vegetables were not available for issue to Indian
troops an additional issue of lime juice would be made.
The Director, Military Intelligence, London, reported locations of certain German Field Posts and
Mechanical Transport Columns.
The Director of Ordnance Services, Force “ D,” reported loss'Wd damage to packages of petrol and oil
on the 4 ‘ Palamcotta ’ oviog to weak drums and rough handling.
The Director, Supply and Transport, Basrah, drew attention to the supply of certain articles on monthly
demand from India and England. ^
The General Officer Commanding, Force £t D,” reported the receipt of a telegram from Colonel
Bicharakov containing his decision to remain on the front, to continue the war, not to participate
in the armistice or ro consider peace negotiations traitorous to Russia and the faithful Allies.

The Deputy Adjutant General, 3rd Echelon, reported the strengths of certain units of the 7th Division
additional to his previous report.
