Summary of events.
The General Officer Commanding, Force “ D,” forwarded information that on 25th September a message of
greeting was addressed to Mosul for Niedermeyer which indicated that he was either expected there
shortly or was there now.
The General Officer Commanding, Force “ D,” stated that the Transportation Committee had made no
recommendations regarding the holding up of vessels with Inland Water Transport, material awaiting dis
charge at Inland Water Transport whaif.
The Inspector General of Communications, Basrah, forwarded an explanation regarding the recent unsatis
factory An East India Company trading post. falling off n discharges cf ships. _
The statement of discharges per ship in tons on 23rd September was received from the Inspector General of
Communications, Basrah. _
The General Officer Commanding, Force w D,” stated that arrangements were being made to collect hides
of horses, mules-and camels for export to the United Kingdom.
