700 is now the actual number of medical officers on strength of this force
and of these 50 are in hospital. Eeserve on irreducible minimum is 140.
Hospital staffs are hard worked in view of recent increase of admissions due to
weather, and I would be glad if the matter may be urgently considered.
Neither demands nor promises of medical officers are taken into consideration
in figures given above.

Intelligence—It is reliably reported by Agents and deserters that in latter
half of July one regiment arrived on Tigris front to replace 81st Eegiment of
52nd Division. This probably is 144th Eegiment..
