With reference to your Excellency’s telegram No. 91330.
The instructions that Directors or their Deputies whichever remained at the
Base are to work in closest touch with Inspector General of Communications
(corcermng ?) duties connected with Lines of Communications and matters
of Transportation I thought safeguarded the point referred to. By special
reference to demands on India and shipping questions arising therefrom am
emphasising the matter once more and illustrating the meaning. Directors
are being instructed that words f< Inspector-General of Communications concurs”
are to be inserted in telegram when necessary as in the case quoted by Your
Excellency.

it is perfectly impossible to accumulate the reserve that their figures indicate

The volume contains a chronological list of brief summaries of papers relating to the activities of the Indian Expeditionary Force D (also known as the Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force) between 1 and 15 November 1916. This is accompanied by appendices containing copies and extracts of these papers, which include: letters, telegrams, notes, reports, tables, and memoranda. An index to the contents of this volume and a summary of the contents can be found at folios 3-12. The volume concerns:
