hr. Lasir-ud-Din xihnad’s leave and
leave allowances.
Sir,
I am directed to inform you that Ur* Lasir-ud-din Ahmad,
late British Representative at Uecca,.relinquished charge .
of that annointment on the aftenUnoon of the 2nd March 1921,
and returned to India. He reported for orders at Delhi in due
course and proceeded on privilege leave for six months with
effect from the 14th Aor:.l 1921. The following are the decisions
of the Government of India arrived at in connection with the
treatment of his leave and the adjustment of his leave
allowances.
2. Mr. Ahmad ? s service out of India is divisible into four
periods, classified as foilows :-
First period from the .2nd January 1915 to the 25th mav
1917, on foreign service under the Civil administration in
Mesopotamia, in respect of which leaygre and mens ion contriou-
tions have been recovered;
Second Period from the 26th may 1917 to ttie c-Btii reoiuaiy
1918, during which he was posted as Indian assistant to the
Resident at Aden, on a pay of Rs.300 a month, and house rent
allowance of Rs.60 a month;
Third Period from the 1st March 1918 to the 2nd March
1921, on foreign service under His Majesty 1 s Government, as
Liaison officer with the idrissi, and Political Cffioei with
theflahej Goldin, on a consolidated pay of Rs.600 a month, and
then as British Reoresentative at Mecca on a consolidai-ed pay
