The item contains correspondence and other papers regarding events after the postponement of plans for a hostel at Mecca to house pilgrims from the British Empire and a British Muslim Representative at Mecca to look after the interests of such pilgrims. The papers are primarily concerned with the final costs of the plans and with the redeployment of the former representative Captain Nasiruddin Ahmed [Naṣīr al-Dīn Aḥmad, also written Nasir-ud-Din Ahmad in the item].
