The General Officer Commanding, Force “ D,” recommended that the Army Bearer Corps should he placed
on the same footing as driver personnel of Supply and Transport Corps.
Major Marsh reported that the Russians issued no proclamation when entering Arab Territory, and that
Russian Commanders were given a free hand as regards Kurds. Also that two Kurdish agents in Russian
pay had proved untrustworthy.
The Russian right Rowanduz column arrived on line Zihar-Rizan and General Baratoff’s advanced cavalry
detachment drove back enemy’s cavalry at Hamrala.
